Professor Jane Turner OBE DL

Jane was an inspiration to all that knew her. As gender champion of Teesside University she was pivotal in the annual #IWD celebrations that catalysed the #Power of Women campaign. Despite her enormous professional achievements she was first and foremost a wife, a mum, a grandma and a true friend. A light went out when she died in July 2021 aged 54, but the flame for social Justice and equal opportunity that she inspired lives on.
